Here's a real nice piece for not a lot of moolah. I think they have it in Mens too. I got one for myself in the Shark. cool.gif link to transition top

Looks pretty nice. Unfortunately on the men's side we can choose either Gray or Gray. Yes, both the same color and, yes, dutifully listed twice to give us a say in the matter. wink.gif Wish they had a men's in Shark.

Gray, you say? Perfect for the Land of Low Contrast! hockeygrin.gif And here is was all feeling guilty because I got it in the Shark, which looks suspiciously close to um, er, black. I *should* have bought it in the Wasabi, but I seem to have a preponderance of green clothing these days, almost as much Wasabi in my wardrobe as the ubiquitous "shark." rolleyes.gif

bawl.gif Would I have to reorder and return to get that? bawl.gif bawl.gif bawl.gif EDIT: Been that, done it. Ordered again. Both pieces coming to the REI store next Thursday, one $9.80 cheaper than the other. If there was a way, I'd halt the one order.

It looks like a pretty good deal. Doh, none my size! frown.gif I have always like the look of this shirt but have been skeptical about it's performance. I have never been impressed with either the insulating qualities or the breathability of clothing using Gore Windstopper. Has anyone had any experience using this top?

I got one
I've had one for a couple years. It's great, but definitely a winter item, IMO. If you're moving at all, it will keep you very warm with little weight or bulk. I've worn it over a thin poly t-shirt in single-digit temps in NH's White Mountains and been perfectly comfortable. Too warm for the other 3 seasons except as an emergency backup. They make a featherweight version which looks to be a helluva a lot better (stretch panels, softer, etc)

Follow up report: Fabric performs great. Hard to get on and off due to lack of stretch. Unfortunately fabric also snags like crazy. down.gif Debating my next move, probably will return piece.
