The Tenas creek road is snowfree, cleared of blowdowns and has actually been regraded in areas. The trail is extreemly overgrown for the first 3/4 mile but gets better once it enters forest. Solid snow wasn`t encountered until around 4,000 ft and the lake was still frozen over with 3-4 ft of snow in the basin. Great snow conditions, great views. 3 1/2 hrs up, 1 1/2 down. Saw several black bear in the area, two on the road and one on the route.
