Anza loves water and had never been on the floating walkways at the UW Arboretum. She had a great time splashing in the mud and we practically had the place to ourselves. We made a loop of it by walking across the bridge to the Museum of Industry parking lot. We saw lots of birds, and Marsh Island lived up to it's name. Not Lying or exaderating:

Many great puddles for splashing:

this stuff was as soft as it looks... think equal parts wood chips, dirt & water:

It is beautiful to see your daughter have pleasure in the outdoors. If splashing her feet makes it happen then great. Kids in the end are more powerful than us as they control the memories. You provided her with rich experiences.

That's a great spot -- my mom and I were out there on Monday. The walk was quite so much awash!

Very cool! Looks like heaven for little puddle stompers! I don't get down there enough, but I don't think I've ever seen that much water on that trail. Gabriel talks about those floating bridges, and how cool they are.
