I’m hoping Alabama beats Georgia. That would likely mean Washington is #2, and would face Florida State, or maybe Texas coached by Steve Sarkesian, or maybe Alabama.

I'm not looking at it in terms of matchups, I want Alabama to lose so we don't get 2 SEC teams.

Georgia is out with a loss, unless Florida State loses too. Michigan, UW, FS, and a one loss team. Would be Alabama over Georgia.

And maybe Texas over Alabama. That would mean no SEC teams.

Yeah, I guess we don't usually see this many teams make it thru the season undefeated. Michigan and Florida St. still have a game to win though. I've just seen 2 SEC teams in the playoffs far too many times already. If you think the committee would somehow shut the SEC out entirely though, I can't possibly see that happening. The college football world would implode.

Yep, they snuck Alabama in and left FS out. What a crock! FS should have been 3.

I knew it. Florida St. fans have every reason to be outraged. The whole system is rigged and is a lie.

Florida State’s best victory was over LSU, ranked #5 at the time (Sep3rd). But now they are 9-3 and are nobodies and now is what counts. Alabama just beat the team that was #1. The selection committee was in a bind since Texas beat Alabama in Alabama, by double digits. Texas did indeed get in ahead of Alabama. Anyway, I’m excited to see UW play Texas coached by Sark. Once again UW gets no respect, opening as “dogs” to the Longhorns.

Just remembered this will be a rematch of last year's Alamo Bowl matchup. A bit more at stake this time.

On a positive note, at least we don't have to put up with the FSU crowd's "Tomahawk Chop." shakehead.gif As for other bowls... flush.gif I might watch the Beavers against Notre Dame. Don't know how the Ducks got saddled with Liberty??? Really? Nothing surprises me in the sports business anymore. clown.gif

I thought that meant the Liberty Bowl on first glance, not Liberty as an opponent. Was it a contractual thing w/ the highest rated Group of 5 team maybe? Try to justify an absolute garbage USC team getting in the Holiday Bowl. Beavs got screwed being sent to the Sun Bowl, but they're used to that, this whole season has been a nightmare for their school and athletics programs.

How about Jake Browning killing it on Monday Night Football for the Bengals? 32-37, 354 yards, 1 touchdown passing, another running, winning in overtime. His completion percentage is the all time NFL record for any player’s first or second start.

I had no idea he was even in the league at this point. Good for him!

It doesn't hurt to have Ja'Marr Chase to throw to but he looked really poised for his first start. Apparently been on practice squads for the most part since leaving college.

FS should have been included. 13-0 and a conference champ.
