I did some Googling and it looks like his body still hasn't been found. His camp was found, but not him, late last fall.

I don't know all the details but that guy missing up near the Enchantments struck me as maybe a case of somebody who wanted to disappear. As I recall, he was a middle aged guy from out of town hiking alone and his camp was found in an area where nobody camps. Maybe his body is not out there.

Reminds me of a river rafting trip down the Methow R. and as we were putting in a sheriff pulled up and asked us to keep a look out for some guy who was feared drowned a day or two earlier. I guess it wouldn't have been quite as grim finding him if we knew he might be out there, but still.
Look at the dead climbers that are intombed up on Everest and other climbers can see them as they pass by. That's gotta be weird.

.....regarding the Colchuck disappearance:
The missing man is Richard Lee from Hobart. He was a Boeing employee at the Auburn plant. Leaves behind a wife and six children. Still not found.

Regarding Colchuck disappearance: A friend of a friend of mine knew him and said that it would not be like him to "disappear".........Stranger things have happened. He might be be enjoying the lifestyle of Costa Rica right now or decomposing on Cannon Mountain. Quien sabe?....The worst part is that his wife is in a tough position and can't collect on life insurance.. No body, no money!!!
