I like buying packages of meat. I mean meat like lunch meat that stores sell in their lunch meat section. I also bring along a few Power Bars and usually something sugary like a Hostess pie. Trail mix is a good idea too.
You're hardcore crabio; rock on.

If I told you, well, no need to start up another gun thread. It is an ancient Norwegian/Scots secret. I have a batch in the oven now. My cookies are an expected treat at the gathering later today.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

What's wrong with PB&J ? That's what I had for lunch on top of Mt. Rainier. Of course, after that experience, I haven't touched the stuff since.

boni bell cheese (those little red ones in wax)
french bread to go with it
fresh orange or apple slices
hot tea in the winter
those little fruit snacks that come in individual packages. I eat those a lot and never get sick of them
something salty like those nasty cracker and peanutbutter packages
good chocolate
pretty much try to have variety as if I start packing one thing over and over I start hating that item. Couldn't eat Snickers for a year after eating one too many on the trail

Quesadillas made extra the night I'm eating them. Leftover lasagne. Greek salad and pita bread. Steak sandwich made with a couple of slices taken off last night's bbq. Spaghetti leftovers. Extra stir-fry made for leftovers.
The I'm late and gotta go quick choices are usually salami and swiss on italian bread or pb&j.

Am I the only one that enjoys spam?

I like Spam but whenever I look at it it seems pricey, plus it's kind of messy with the moistness and the can and all, so I generally just use bologna instead.

I've just never liked spam. I've tried it several times when it's been offered to me. All that's ever developed for me is an active dislike for anything spam-ish.
We all have our likes and dislikes. I just found out a good friend of mine doesn't like Greek olives. He's still my friend and all, even though not liking good olives is just plain weird. It just means more olives in the world for me!

On my 9.6 mile loop yesterday I ate one GU packet (the GU, not the container) and one small York Mint patty.
After the hike I chowed down at IHOP.
