Here is the deal-our loosely knit group which is now up in the numbers of the upper 20's come from all walks of life, and all ages. We are the most supportive bunch of people....but, you know-when you see a moron, you know it. And you know what? Lighten up You should come on one of our hikes, you'd probably like it!

Boy, does all of your group share this attitude? Funny how Sarbar and Co. are such a lightning rod for criticisms!
I should not be so judgmental, because 13-14 years ago, I was a touron before I started bping. It just seems that there is so much literature out and the joys of the internet, there should be no reason for some of the stupidity that I have seen. Now for real, had you seen someone hiking in the snow in high heels or in loafers squealing about snow in his shoes, would this not have brought a chuckle to you?

Why wouldn't you? Are you THAT judgemental that you would JUDGE our group without ever meeting us? Just a thought.....
To which I should add, in 2 years we have had I believe 40+ come on our trips and they all keep coming back

I've learned enough about you from your posts to construct an opinion- not an especially flattering one.

I love our trips! I've met some truely wonderful people (Sarbar included!) through out PNWH posse!
We are a diverse, fun, supportive and cooperative group of people. No being judgemental or condesending allowed on the trip.
Tourons indeed!!! Sarbar...you forgot about the guy with the baby tip-toeing through the snow...
And the girl brushing snow off of her shoe like it was a giant bug or something! LOL.

Yeah, I might have chuckled seeing the heels, but I wouldn't judge them or anyone else that doesn't enjoy nature in the same ways that I do. As long as they aren't damaging the environment, I don't know why they are the object of derision (on a daily basis, on this board).
For all you know, those "tourons" go home and write letters to their congresspeople in support of National Park funding. My little sister likes to drive to national parks, buy a stuffed animal, take a picture and go home.
However, because she likes to do this, she joined the National Parks Conservation Association, which I think is great.
