I get a rebate check from my carrier every year, based on the performance of the people insured by them in Wa.

Bah! Say it isn't so! I'm the former dependent of a former dependant, that's how I got in. I think there hardest part is that they are really picky about a pristine driving record.

What's Synchro's story?

Location, location, location. My brother is a property/casulty insurance agent in Silverdale. The rate he quoted me for Seattle is about double the rate if I lived at his address.

Dad is a retired career military. And hooboy, location is everything!!! When I moved to Kent from Whidbey Island my rates went up by almost $150 every 6 months. Maple Valley is better at least (and now I have much better insurance anyways.) One of the reasons I never blinked about leaving Farmer's. I have a great driving record and only saw my rates get crappier with with moving to an urban area.
