I've never understood why more folks don't walk this lovely trail. I did a bunch of WTA work parties there and the trail is relatively flat, with no outstanding mountain views and is accessible from both ends on the Middle fork road. The upper trail head is more or less unmarked but is across the road from the main Middle Fork parking lot. Yesterday, we walked a mile or so in to look at more work along the trail. It was so beautiful! Lots of mushrooms everywhere and lovely big leaf maple leaves decorate the trail. There is a magnificent lightning struck dead cedar a ways in and almost noone on the trail. Check out this place for a great forest walk especially nice in the rain. WTA will likely be doing more 'lite' work parties out here soon.

Thanks for the tip we went downstream from MFT parking and went to junction with MFR then over to PB fantastic view. Saw only a couple people.
