I happen to luck out and watched the entire segment Monday night on TV (didn't feel well so was lying in bed watching TV---good thing!). It was by far the funniest 10 minutes of Letterman I think I've ever seen! He showed pictures of the bear too, including one with it coming out of his place finally...5 1/2 hours later!
It ate 1/2 choc. cake, dozen bananas, oranges, a peach...and spit the pit into the dog bowl, had the water in the sink turned on ("He had a plan, I tell you..."). It was hilarious.
