Nice! I just use a strip of foil a little wider than my pot is tall, roll it up so it fits around the pot with about 1/4" between the pot and the foil and then crimp it in three places so it hangs from the pot. The bottom edge hangs below the bottom of the pot and shields the flames from wind.

Every piece of gear should come with a note from the designer:
"I tried to think of everything I could, and I know you are going to use this gear for whatever thing tickles your fancy. Feel free to modify or accessorize this piece of gear in whatever way you see fit, and don't forget to let me, or my company, know what you did, and how it worked, so that we may consider your modifications for later versions."
It may sound silly, but I think we all need to look at our gear and modify however we see fit, and if we come up with a solid good idea, we should tell the designer. Or at least our peers who use the stuff.
