Karen at Ardesson's has been fixing my pack for decades. She's good. She's fast. Lakewood.

(she's replacing the zipper in a parka and taking in the waist on those fancy-schmantzy new pants of mine .)
probably too far if you're way up north.

Rainy Pass on Stone Way in Wallingford has seen business from me a few times and I have been happy with the results. Gotta admit though, I probably keep going back because it's 2 blocks from my house. These were gear related repairs, not clothing (pack, tent, and sleeping bag).
Pack repair was a top-pouch zipper. Final product was way better than the original and only set me back $40.
I have seen their handy work on a down jacket repair and that was pretty good, esp. considering the initial damage done.

Carol at Sewing Specialties, 206 818 0870. She is the local person for all Patagonia repairs. She used to have the shop in Fremont (Northwest Garment and Gear). She can repair clothing, packs, tents etc. Been going to her for years, does a great job.
Rainy Pass will charge 2-3x what Carol charges.

The Lady/owner at L&M cleaners in Cullman Al. modified a pair of Tru Spec 24/7 trousers with Cordura patches in the knees and Velcro tabs in the ankles, looked so good people asked me on the trail where I got my hiking pants.

Luving my new Sailrite LSZ-1 sewing machine, industrial capability in a compact machine, walking foot, currently set up with V-92 thread and #22 needle! Game changer for lots of my projects. Great compliment to my light duty Pfaff IDT machine. Plan to make a DIY yurt with my bud.

Buy a Brother Hi Lift, large bobbin, walking foot industrial machine.
Go with 'F' thread as your minimum. (Not E)
NEVER lend it out.
