DJ, how big a "kid" would these fit? I have a very petite niece who might need some snowshoes. I'm guessing she's not much over 100 lbs, if that.
I haven't tried them yet, but they are pretty big--probably over 50% of the area of the Ascents you sold me. I would think they would work fin for 100# with no pack or a light one. I'll try to remember to post again after I get the kids out in the snow...
Thanks. I guess if they don't work they are returnable. How about the bottoms? Are they 100% plastic, or do they have some metal like the adult version?
IIRC they don't have the long metal thingies on the bottom. I think the only metal is the crampon part of the binding.
