Very impressive that you did both peaks in one day.
Much more difficult to do that much gain off-trail.
Which dogs went with you?

Amazing scenery. Hidden Lakes Peaks is my favorite spot in that whole area, which is almost beyond compare in Washington. Lovely photos, with your last one being the nicest, thanks to your furry friend (no, I don't mean Iron ).

What a tease...when do we get the rest of the story?!

Were snowshoes necessary? Can you talk about your route on HLP?

Your dog makes a great foreground in both of the last photos. In the "updating me with news of Iron" photo, she looks great running airborne with her pink tongue hanging out across all the white snow.
I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the story.
Hope your leg isn't hurting too much.

How was the lookout? Did you go in? It was one of my dad's "babies" so I would be happy for an update.

Does that mean going up the ridge from one of the road switchbacks? How far could you drive up Sibley Creek Road?

okay... just got back from paddling and hiking around ross lake. currently uploading 598 pics. will have report and more info soon!!!
here's the route. we were able to start on the road just beneath the "E" in 'mt. bakEr national forest' due to snow on the road. but, this led us quickly to the ridge we wanted...Hidden Lakes Peak
