I don't have a high clearance vehicle and the snow levels are low and I'm
so bored with EVERY trail in the county. So I've been doing a lot of
wandering up and down roads and in the Hood Canal State Forest. I had
no idea that the forest was so nice in there. I mean for DNR land it's kind
of nice anyway.
Here are some pictures from this month.
So far I've hiked 36 miles this year.
Those pictures are very nice.
I went to the Vance bridge a couple of years back, before they started getting serious about parking nearby, and it was pretty cool. I went about 3/4's of the way across, to get the real feeling, and it was spooky.
The nearby High Steel bridge is even higher, though not as much fun, since you can drive right over it, and the road surface is wide, not the same feeling of floating out in space.
