Looking the trail with bags of dog poop is so much worse than flying a drone. And so much more common too.

I think drones in Wilderness are legal game to be shot.

That could get you in trouble. Better to hike with a trained falcon.

And they've already deleted the comment I made politely pointing out that drones aren't allowed in wilderness areas. Classy.

Unusually good production values for a hiking video.

I'm a bit surprised at the level of effort here - stopping in the middle of a forest road, launching the drone, setting it's course and getting it going, quickly hopping back in the car for the shot of it driving, then hopping back out, calling the drone back, getting back in the car, yadda yadda. Just seems so extra to me.

They may have even blocked you. I have found that channels that are so quick to delete such comments are very likely to also block. As to the idea about Wilderness regulations, they are under pressure from all sorts of directions. If it was "just" drones, one could make a case for allowing them. But it is not just drones, it's also resource extraction, bikes, hikers with speakers playing music, littering, TP gardens, overuse, large parties, etc, etc, etc. The incremental degradation of Wilderness is seemingly increasing. I hope our great great grandchildren have a Wilderness to enjoy. Rumi

The car scene was a little weird, I agree. I assume that was because some people are really into cars or something. What made me groan was watching the guy put a down jacket on to ride a bike up hill, who does that? You'd be a sweaty mess in no time. And then try not lock it!! I can't be bothered to do any video editing, I don't have the patience for it. Somebody put a great deal of time and effort into editing the footage, choosing music, etc, nevermind purchasing, learning to use, and carrying an expensive drone. It never made sense to me that people use Bitcoin to buy drugs. Why would you want to create a permanent record of your crimes? This is obviously and recognizably illegal. Even when a person deletes a video they upload, YouTube still has it, and they automatically help law enforcement upon request, with or without a subpoena. It's an interesting juxtaposition with this story I just read: ‘We will catch you’: The Yosemite judge dishes on park crime

Not sure why I bothered, but put a comment on the video with a link to how it's illegal to fly drones in Wilderness areas-- it was deleted within a minute....

Send it to Darrington; they will find the guy and fine him.

I had a look at the comments after you both mentioned this. Probably the guy who shot the video wrote all of them. kissass.gif

I filled out the form to file a legal complaint on youtube. Maybe if enough of us complain they will do something. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/9996224?hl=en
